One of the things missing from the European aftermarket industry, is a mass produced piston range that is engineered for the end users needs. Using the last decade's of experience, we here at PEC are confident we have developed a range of pistons to suit almost every possible need.
Why are PEC pistons so good? Well the answer is simple. Most mass market piston manufacturers will rely on online data and a single customer's feedback when creating a piston, often without taking into account things like the average age of an engine, the correct cylinder head chamber volume, the correct gasket thickness. All this can be calculated, but it is never 100% correct..... Until now.

PEC's unique in house design facilities are able to produce many different components but for nearly 10 years now, it's our connecting rods that have helped set us apart from the competition in terms of availability, ease of fitment and size of range.
Originally forged in Sweden, UK tuners and builders can now enjoy the quality of PEC steel Con-rods as much as their European counterparts. These Con-rods have been designed, manufactured and tested to the highest levels of scrutiny before being released to the trade and the public alike.
These lightweight, H-beam section connecting rods are forged from AISI 4340 (En24) steel. Heat treated to HRC 35-38 and then fully shot-peened for a higher fatigue strength. Small ends are bushed for a fully floating pin and big ends are fitted with high quality ARP fasteners with several different specs available depending on the level of performance required. Suitable for high-performance street and competition uses. Price includes ARP rod bolts.

PEC rods are designed to withstand roughly 225hp per cylinder (typically 900hp on most 4cyl engines) and on the ARP 2000 series 3/8 bolts normally provided & have an 8,500 RPM safe operating limit (engine specific).
In some cases, we reccomend using the ARP custom age bolts available from us. This increases the hp threshold to 250hp per cylinder and raises the RPM limit to 9,000 however as every engine is different, these numbers are not guaranteed for every configuration.
